The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania department of motor vehicles (PennDOT) has a decentralized system for the public to provide driver’s license and vehicle registration services.    It consists of a network of regional PennDOT DMV and photo center locations, independent vehicle safety inspection partners and Auto Tag Agency partners across the Commonwealth.

Independent Auto Tag Agency partners can take 3 forms:

  • Agent Service – A Notary that focuses primarily on completion of motor vehicle title and registration transactions.  
  • Card Agent – A Notary that issues temporary registration cards in conjunction with applications for transfer of registration plates.
  • Online Messenger – A Notary that offers the same services as Agent Service or Card Agent but also offers online Driver’s license renewal, duplicate license cards, and restoration of suspended driver’s license and vehicle registration services.  Most Online Messenger locations also offer expedited Messenger hand delivery service directly to PennDOT’s Main Riverfront Office Center in Harrisburg, PA.

All the Auto Tag Agency partners listed are bonded and under contract with PennDOT to adhere to strict business processing practices and are subject to audit and continuing Agent Service training to maintain their authority. But most importantly these partners are independently run private businesses in local communities who offer the convenience of personal service to the public. Please note that Authorized agents may charge a market driven service (delivery) fee in addition to any PennDOT statutory fees for their services. We accept only Cash, Credit and Debit Cards. Sorry but no Checks or Money Orders.

Notary Services & Vital Records Document Requests

We have notaries available for all legal documents. We also offer services to request copies of Certified PA Birth or Death Certificates from the PA department of Health. Division of Vital Records.

Apportioned Registration For Heavy Duty Trucks
